Joel Embiid Needs To Go Full #DecemberCarson For 76ers
In a city where there is seemingly a hospital on every corner, it’s incredulous that Philadelphia sports teams can’t find a competent medical staff. Yet, here we are with Ben Simmons facing a prolonged absence due to being rushed back from a back injury. Add a little cherry on top with Tobias Harris likely being out too with a knee injury.
Tobias Harris is doubtful for tomorrow’s game with a right knee contusion.

A slew of injuries plaguing the team. Sky high expectations have now dipped to their lowest point. Doubt has crept into the minds of fans. One star remains to carry the load for the team to salvage the season. What does that remind you of?
Carson Wentz in December:
145/219, 1,509 yards, 10 touchdowns, 1 INT, passer rating of 99.29.
WITH PRACTICE SQUAD PLAYERS!

Joel Embiid proclaimed he was the best player in the league after his dominant 37 point performance vs the Nets last week. If he truly believes it, now is the time for him to go full December Carson and put this team on his back, no matter who is playing around him.
If we’ve learned anything from the Eagles, somehow less talent and lower expectations lead to better results. It helps when your best player plays his best month of his career since he was an MVP candidate (145/249, 1509 Yards, 10 TDs, 1INT, 99.3 Passer Rating). It was so unexpected, which made it all the more more remarkable.
It also certainly helps that unknown guys like Greg Wars Jr came in and was more productive than high priced guys like Alshon Jeffery. No doubt Shake Milton will end up giving the same production as the $180M man, Tobias Harris.
So, a cast of unfamiliar characters has been thrust into larger roles due to injuries. The schedule is at a weaker point. The biggest star on the team needs to dominate for the team to have a chance. The Sixers certainly seem to be taking the Eagles course.
When the season was in doubt, Carson Wentz stepped up and played his best ball. It’s time for Joel Embiid to do the same.
