The Loss Playlist: 7 Songs To Listen To After A Bad Eagles Loss

The Eagles lost to the eternally irrelevant Detroit Lions 27-24. A home loss that will become more humiliating as the season rolls on because the Lions will miss the playoffs and this loss will go against the Eagles playoff chances. But they didn’t just lose, they lost in brutal and maddening fashion.

Wrongly timed injuries, horrific officiating, brutal dropped pass after dropped pass, pain inducing turnovers and aggravating Special Teams plays.

This is the type of loss where if this same core didn’t win the Super Bowl two years ago, we’d be 1000% hopeless and want everyone gone.

So for future reference to any other brutally painful loss, rather than mope around your house all day, check out this playlist which will help you get over the game and make you feel better.

Somebody Kill Me – The Wedding Singer

The title says it all, it was definitely on everyone’s mind when JJ Arcega-Whiteside dropped that last pass.

Master of Puppets – Metallica

Totally pissed off and need to take out your anger? Bang your head to Metallica’s iconic 8 minute epic “Master of Puppets”. Jason Myrtetus would approve.

Raining Blood – Slayer

Still not enough metal? Check out one of the most intense metal songs of all-time that makes Metallica sound like pop music from Slayer. I mean…SLAYER!!!

Angel – Sarah McLachlin

More sad than angry? Check out the song from everyone’s favorite PSA dog commercials that just go on and on and on.

Only Time – Enya

Want a more calming feel? Enya is about as good as it gets with her classic relaxing tune “Only Time.”

Tomorrow Never Knows – The Beatles

Wanna get some introspection that makes you realize that we’re wasting too much time and engery into a team and game that doesn’t impact our lives that much? Listen to the last track on The Beatles 1966 masterwork Revolver. It never hurts to listen to The GOAT band.

Don’t Stop – Fleetwood Mac

You’re darn right we’re gonna include the song they play after a Phillies loss at CBP instead of High Hopes! It’s the song that won Bill Clinton the 1992 Presidential Election and reunited the classic lineup of Fleetwood Mac which clearly dictated how our whole lives would go. Lets just think about tomorrow and look forward to the next gam-Ah crap they gotta go to Lambeau Field on Thursday night?!
