Bankrupt the Bookie Volume 3: NBA All Star Game
You hear that? The tracks are rumbling. The ground is shaking. It’s the motherfucking train rolling into Money Station in the town of Wealthville. 2-0 last week in the money picks, 3-0 if you took Villanova (Rule 4.8 of degeneracy). That brings my record to 4-1 and I hope you guys hop on now because we can both make a nice chunk of change here. Sports gambling is so easy.
Now let’s get to the picks. I am going to be real honest, the NCAA board for Saturday is a trash heap. Absolutely NOTHING sticks out to me as a winner. It looks like this weekend we are going to have to work for the money. This is how the train stays rolling. Tough times never last but tough people do.
Philly Games
Drexel visits Towson at 2pm. The spread opened at Towson -1 and I think it’s best to stay away from that. I’ll take the total over 142 points and pray the Dragons can light up the score board. Its a road game but Drexel has proven me wrong before.
La Salle in St. Louis starts at 5pm. I do not think La Salle has been given enough points as a +7.5 underdog here so I will go against them and take St. Louis spread. No disrespect to the Explorers but I don’t think they can get it done against the second best team in the conference on the road.
Temple heads down south to USF as a 1 point underdog. Game starts at 6 pm and I am feeling Temple in this one. If you get a good moneyline before tip off it might not be a bad idea to throw a Jackson on it. Either way I will take Temple and the points, don’t be surprised if the Owls win outright.
Harvard visiting Penn tips off at 7pm. As of now there is no line because the Quakers play Friday night. Does not matter I will bet against the nerds anytime I can. Take Penn spread hear so we can send these Boston, how bout them apples, yuppies packing.
Money Picks
Alright folks after a hot week I went on a little cold streak for the beginning of the week. I have been heating up as of late so I am going to try my best to find a gem. Let’s put on the rubber gloves and get to work.
The LSU Tigers head north to visit Tom Crean and his Georgia Bulldogs at 6pm. LSU is an -8.5 point favorite in this one and I think that’s a real diamond. It will be close but the Tigers tend to pull away with a heavy lead late in the 4th. When it comes to tourney time LSU is going to be a darling we can ride as an underdog until the sweet 16.
This next game will tell you how terrible the slate truly is. I am going to be taking the Utah Utes against the Arizona State Sun Devils as a -1.5 favorite. Arizona State stands no chance in the altitude it affects every team that heads up there. The Utes also got me back winning this week so I have to show them some love.
NBA All Star Game
Lock this one as a money pick. Don’t touch the spread, actually don’t even look it doesn’t matter. The money is in the total points here set at a crazy 310.5. I want to kick my own ass here. It goes against every instinct I have as a gambler to take the under. This line is outrageous and I do not think we get a 280+ point performance. Hammer the under and watch Jo swat. At least ben wont hurt this from deep.
