Phillies Fans Are Showing Just How Classy They Are

I don’t want to hear anything about how classless Philly fans are anymore it’s an outdated easy narrative that needs to be put to rest for good. This isn’t the 70s or 80s anymore and the only thing you can say about Philly fans is that they are passionate and the loudest fans in all of sports.

As Philly fans we have been trying to get the narrative changed about us for a while but the national media just loves an easy story. “Philly fans are trash” “The scumbag Philly fans!” But what about a story like this, why aren’t they talking about any of the good things our fans do?

Now we’ve got a few Philly fans chipping in to buy a bunch of tickets to tomorrows NLCS Game 3 in Arizona. Not to invade Chase Field(although I’m sure there will be plenty of Red October gear in the seats) but to donate them to charitable organizations throughout the Phoenix area.

@badguyadam on Twitter was the first I saw about it and multiple people have responded to him already saying “Lets do it!” He has already linked up with AZ Helping Hands and is getting them some tickets.

It’s stuff like this that makes being a Philly fan so great and what most people who aren’t from here don’t understand about us. Yes, we are loud and can be obnoxious that’s no secret. But we LOVE our sports teams sometimes more than our own family members. You can’t name another city that lives and breathes sports the way this city does. At the end of the day though there are way more of us out here like Adam who are good people and don’t do things that will embarrass our fanbase.

Would Philly fans of old done what Adam is trying to do? Or would Philly fans of old have given Trea Turner a standing ovation instead of booing him out of town when he was struggling? No they wouldn’t have

Yea we’re from Philly, F**king Philly and no ones likes us and we don’t care. We just ask that you start acknowledging all the good stuff we do instead of harping on stuff that happened back 30+ years ago.
