Last Night Was A Reminder Just How Far Away The Flyers Are
Last night the Tampa Bay Lightning made the Flyers look like an AHL team. It was a dominating 4-1 win where at times the Flyers looked lifeless.
The reason for that? Because they basically are an AHL team out there. This game could’ve been much more out of hand if it wasn’t for Carter Hart. But even he couldn’t keep his head in the game the entire time…
Just an absolute brutal goal he lets in here. It’s hard to get on the guy for this one though because he was the only reason the team was even remotely in this game.
With all the injuries the Flyers have Chuck Fletcher decided let’s just throw an AHL team out there and see what happens.
With how dominate Tampa Bay looked it was a good reminder for how far away the Flyers are from being a competitive organization.
Tampa has had sustained success and one of the main reasons for that other than pure talent, which oh by the way they have drafted or made some great trades to acquire is because they have a competent GM.
Something the Flyers do not have and everyday Chuck Fletcher remains in office is another day this organization is set back.
If there was any bright spots from last nights 4-1 loss it was that Travis Konecny returned to the lineup and scored a goal. Another bright spot was obviously Carter Hart. Other than that 4th goal he basically was going up against the Lightning himself.
The future for the Flyers could be bright as they have a true number 1 goaltender. However, until the right GM is in place we will remain in this miserable hell that we are all in.
