A Timeline of PFT Commenter Accepting the Carson Wentz Trade to the Commanders
On March 9, 2022 a moment that will live on in history occurred: The Indianapolis Colts traded quarterback Carson Wentz to the newly named Washington Commanders.
Although everyone rightly clowns on the Washington franchise for over two decades of unfathomable dysfunction, the organization has actually been doing something right this offseason: They were hell bent on finding a long term franchise quarterback, something they haven’t really had even going back to their glory days in the 1980s. They tried their best to get Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson on board, but both of them said no. So they pretty much had no choice but to take a chance on the kid from North Dakota.
Its impressive that the Colts were able to get anything for Carson Wentz because Indianapolis pretty much made it clear that they were done with Wentz as their starting quarterback.
It’s already depressing to be a fan of the Washington Commanders. This once historic franchise hasn’t been to a NFC championship game in over 30 years and has been mutilated by owner Daniel Snyder, one of the most toxic owners in sports history. Its a fan base that always finds a way to hit a new low just when they thought they reached rock bottom.
One of the most popular Washington fans is PFT Commenter, co-host of Barstool Sports signature podcast Pardon My Take. Through his biting humor he still finds a way to support his fledging football team despite the many reasons why he shouldn’t anymore. But this Carson Wentz trade nearly broke him. He received the news in a vulnerable state in the Barstool offices while not wearing his powerful sunglasses.
It began a deep state of depression for Mike Florio’s son, but as PFT always does, he finds a way to take this negative situation into an incredibly positive one.
