The Eagles Disastrous Injury Situations Continue To Rear It’s Ugly Head

This offseason, Washington didn’t know a positive headline if it offered to do a private calendar shoot for them. They couldn’t even handle something as simple as picking a team name.

The Eagles just blew a 17 point lead to that train wreck of an organization and lost.
In what was probably a top 5  most embarrassing loss in franchise history, it was more of the same for Philly. Too many injuries to compete. The Eagles injury situation is borderline malpractice. If you can’t field not only a talented team, but just a team in general, there is a serious issue with how things are being run.
The Eagles found themselves down Javon Hargrave, Derek Barnett, Vinny Curry and Brandon Graham on the defensive line.
On the opposite side, they were down Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson and then eventually Jack Driscoll. Jordan Malaita and Nate Herbig formed the right side of their line. They were also down to Corey Clement at running back.
To invest this much time and money into Carson Wentz and have THAT protecting him is just so inexcusable. 8 sacks on your most important and expensive player should make everyone cringe a bit.
This loss will be a shock, it’ll sting. But looking out on the field in the 3rd quarter, there was no obvious talent gap.
There are no layups in the NFL. So, if the Eagles are going to do this thing again where they trot out a roster barely fortified and ravaged by a slew of injuries, there’s no point in getting invested.
Hopefully reinforcements are coming, but there’s no real reason to think this team could stay healthy for 16 weeks straight.
