Flyers Start Playoffs As Co-Favorites To Win The Stanley Cup

Two weeks ago, the Philadelphia Flyers started their bubble play. Before that game, the Flyers had the 7th best odds to win the Stanley Cup. (+1300 according to oddschecker)

Fast forward to today, the Flyers now are co-favorites to win the Stanley Cup with the Vegas Golden Knights.

Over the past two-weeks, the Flyers have shown they are ready for the playoffs. Game after game, performance after performance, the Flyers have regained their pre-covid form somewhat immediately.

After a perfect 3-0-0 in the round-robin, the Flyers are now the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. This same sediment has caught the bettors eyes as well…

“The Flyers entered the bubble with odds of +1300, putting them seventh-favorites with oddsmakers’ to win the Stanley Cup; following consecutive wins over the Caps, Bruins and Lightning, Philadelphia is now vying for favoritism. Their best odds of winning the thing are now +550.” – Oddschecker Pete Watt

The Flyers are co-favorites on almost every sportsbook. The Flyers average, +600 according to oddschecker, is tied for the favorites to win the Stanley Cup.

Tonight is Game1 in the Flyers push for the Stanley Cup. Here are a couple bets that could hit tonight…

Currently, the Flyers are moneyline favorites. Depending on the site, the range is between -142 & -167. But, if you take the Flyers to win by 2-goals, your odds improve dramatically.

If you are betting on the Flyers to win, go with Flyers -1.5. The odds will be in your favor. Ranging from +175 to +200.

FoxBet has a very enticing odds boost for Sean Couturier. The Flyers only got 1-goal from the top line during the round-robin and that was Joel Farabee. Sean Couturier added two assists in the Flyers final round robin game vs the Lightning. But, started to knock on the door for a goal towards the end of the game.

If you are betting on the Sean Couturier to score, go with Sean Couturier to score & Flyers win odds boost. That will net you $5.25 on every dollar you bet.

The over/under for the game is set at 5. A very similar number to the Flyers vs Canadiens games this season. The Flyers won both overtime games, 4-3 & 3-2, vs the Canadiens this season while dropping a 4-1 contest in regulation. However, all three games would hit that over/under number tonight.

If you are betting on a Flyers win, go with the under. Both goalies are playing good hockey right now. For the Flyers to win, a low scoring, low shots on goal game will have to be played.
