Mel Kiper Predicts Philly to Burn Down Tonight

Mel Kiper released his newest mock draft this morning, and it looks like he’s predicting the entire city of Philadelphia to burn down by around 10 pm. In a dream scenario for Eagles fans that have been pushing for Howie to add a burner at receiver this off season, the fastest guy in the draft is still available at the twenty one. In a weird mock Kiper has Justin Jefferson going 14th to the Bucs, the second receiver off the board after Jerry Jeudy. Jefferson over Lamb??? Next up is Denver who grabs Cedee Lamb. Looks like the top four guys are going to be gone by the time the Eagles are on the clock. The impossible happens though and Henry Ruggs is sitting there at twenty one, begging to be picked by the Eagles. The absolute perfect fit for the Eagles offense is on the board, getting that burner that’s gonna spread the field has been what fans have been dreaming about for months. One of the easiest picks Howie has ever made, a no brainer to get Ruggs.

Nope, Kiper has the Eagles taking Oklahoma linebacker Keneth Murray and then the Vikings grabbing Ruggs. This is some kind of sick joke right Mel? Kiper’s been very wrong before, famously saying he would quit his job if Jimmy Clausen didn’t become a successful NFL quarterback. This is an insane take though, the Eagles drafting a linebacker, a position Howie clearly doesn’t value much, over the fastest receiver in the draft. If this scenario plays out Howie better not come out of his draft bunker until Murray becomes a three time pro bowler.
