Eagles Go Small & Speedy Over Tall & Physical

It looked like the Eagles were going to be gifted WR CeeDee Lamb. But, rival Dallas Cowboys put an end to that.

Then, Justin Jefferson, who has been mocked to the Eagles alot over the past month fell right into their hands at 21. But, instead of drafting Jefferson, the Eagles went for the speedy deep threat instead.

With the 21st overall pick, the Eagles selected TCU WR Jalen Reagor.

Reagor’s name has been rising up draft boards over the past week due to his improved 40-time at his home pro day. At the combine, red flags were raised when Reagor only posted an 4.47 40-time. But, in his quarantine pro-day, Reagor ran an 4.32.

Earlier today, Lance Zierlein, who predicted the Eagles trading up to draft Carson Wentz in 2016, also predicted the Eagles interest in Reagor.

“Sources say the Eagles are enamored with Jalen Reagor’s speed and explosive potential as a three level target for Carson Wentz.”

Jalen Reagor is being compared to Chiefs Tyreek Hill.

It is not the pick fans were hoping for with Justin Jefferson still on the board. But, the Eagles struggled last season with a logjam in the middle with no over the top help. Reagor will help fix that.

Remember, the Eagles have probably two of the best pass catching TEs in the NFL in Ertz & Geodert. With those two, DeSean Jackson, & now Reagor, Carson Wentz has some speed and options to throw too.
