The Sixers can’t even defeat Gastroenteritis. There was no way they were going to overcome Coronavirus. They are probably the only team where contracting Coronavirus during a global pandemic isn’t their craziest medical story.
The announcement three members of the Sixers organization tested positive for Coronavirus comes just mere hours after Saints coach, Sean Payton, announced he had tested positive as well. Adam Silver has advised teams to completely shutdown team facilities. And the US government has shutdown the border and ordered all US citizens abroad to come home.
A few days prior, Christian Wood of the Pistons has
tested positive. His last game before the suspension of league play came against the Sixers. Wood’s Pistons team had played against Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz three days earlier.
The NBA continues to live out the sporting version of the movie Contagion.
