Eagles Involved in a Flurry Of Moves, Including a Painful Goodbye
Boy the dominoes are falling here today in a hurry.
Jalen Mills is back with the Eagles but this time he will he playing safety. Let’s tackle the most important news first: thank God he doesn’t have to change his hair color. Now I can sleep well at night. And if he’s playing safety that means…

Yup, so that sucks. I don’t care what amount Malcolm wanted it was probably worth it. Even in a season where they are looking to get younger. He represents everything you want in a defensive stud: hard-nosed, productive, leader. There will never be another Brian Dawkins, but Malcolm will be the closest thing to it. It’s a shame they are sharing an eerily similar fate on their way out of philly. If you don’t learn from history, you are doomed to repeat it.
Snuck in between the changing of the guard at Safety was the news Jordan Howard is headed to Miami. Two years for “north of 10 million”. The goal of the Dolphins is to just overpay to the point where no other team can compete. It’s hurt the Eagles twice with both Howard and Byron Jones. It’s smart business by the Eagles to walk away. The Dolphins are in a position where they can’t walk away, so they can be competitive. They won’t have to pay legitimate franchise quarterback money for a few years, mine as well let it fly now.
That’s the news for now. By the time it comes out, some other veteran will likely be out the door!
