Tonight is the Biggest Flyers Regular Season Game in a Long Time

Tonight’s Flyers vs. Capitals game is the biggest Flyers regular season game in recent memory.  Although this game does not clinch them a division if they win or anything along those lines, there is some significant mental edge can be taken from this game. A true sense of momentum and a growing confidence not only with the team, but the fans behind them.

The Flyers are on a roll.  They have won six and a row and have the third most points in the NHL since November.  The Capitals have hit a bump in the road and have been struggling a bit as of late.  This has led to the door being open for the Flyers to possibly win the Metro Division, an idea that seemed crazy at the beginning of the year.

In case you were planning to watch, the whole country is too. This nationally televised game is another chance for the Flyers to show a prime time audience just how good they are.  Against a genuine very good team as well, not the Rangers.

The Flyers have captured the imagination of the city.  They have become the championship hope that most believed the 76ers would be no less than four months ago. While the Sixers certainly still have a chance, there’s something to be said for another  underdog championship run in the city.

Tonight down in Washington against one of the NHL’s elite, they will show the entire nation they belong on their level.

So grab a seat at the bar or gather around your television, grab your family and friends, and cheer on the Flyers tonight.
