For the Rest of Their Season, the Flyers Will Own Philadelphia

ITS NOW OR NEVER PHILADELPHIA.

The 76ers stars are currently on hiatus.  Phillies baseball is still a month away. Its still too early to decide on the Eagles draft plans. But, there is one team you can start paying attention too…

Right now, Philadelphia is Flyers Hockey.

We are well beyond the “start paying attention to Flyers” battle cry. For the rest of the season, Philadelphia it is all ABOUT the Flyers.

The Flyers have exceeded expectations so far this year. With the Sixers falling well short of their expectations, it has become the Flyers time to bear the torch for spring championship aspirations in Philadelphia.

Riding one of the hottest streaks in the NHL, 15-3-1 since 1/10, the Flyers have went from playoff bubble to playoff contender. In the process, they have started to galvanize the city.

The Flyers are a really likeable team with a lot of young talent that will be here for a long time.  Through their hard work and grit, they have endeared themselves to us fans and have set themselves up to make a lot of noise in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

This team has a chance to be special.  Aspirations for any team & its fans is to win it all, but the Flyers are taking it just one game at a time. They have started all of us on a very exciting ride and Philadelphia should be grateful that they are giving us something to be proud of and cheer about.  Wednesday night against the Capitals is one of the biggest hockey games this city has seen since Flyers playoff run in 2012.

The Flyers now have to shoulder the hopes of all of us fans who want to see a deep playoff run. That is a responsibility that they seem to be happy to carry.  But, they can’t do it without you Philadelphia.

Time to paint the city orange and black Philadelphia. LETS GO FLYERS.
