Zeke Elliott Officially Out With Hurt Feelings

By now, we’ve all seen the video of outspoken Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones making a “Zeke Who?” quip over the weekend.

It was hilarious. Well, it was hilarious to us because all of our players show up to practice and our front office doesn’t have to make jokes like that. The joke was meant to be harmless, and it was funny, but in the back of your mind you’d knew it would backfire.

It was like when Pete Davidson made fun on that Congressman’s eye patch (he lost his eye during war and Davidson said he looked like a hitman in a porno movie). Everyone thought it was funny, but everyone knew it would backfire.

Well, we have officially reached the “backfire” stage of Jerry Jones quote:

Chalk that up in the things you hate to see!

It is so refreshing to have people in charge like Howie Roseman. First of all, he doesn’t put his foot in his mouth every time a camera is around like Jerry does.

But secondly, and most importantly, he balances the salary cap better than almost anyone. Everyone is taken care of and everyone is in camp. Malcolm Jenkins wants a new deal, and still showed up to camp because of the confidence the players have in Howie taking care of them.

The Dallas Cowboys are approaching salary cap hell in a hurry. If last week taught us anything, it’s that they don’t seem to be close on a deal for Dak and they’re more worried about jokes than dollars when it comes to Zeke. Wild times.
