NBA Releases Schedule For Sixers Upcoming 82-0 Season

Before any season starts, it is really important to attach lofty expectations to a team in this city. That is one of our strengths as a fan base. Look how well that worked out for the Phillies. So today, the NBA has released its schedule for the upcoming season, given us an in-depth look at who the Sixers will beat to go 82-0:

If this is too small for you, I guess you’re just going to have to use Google like everyone else.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • The first game of the season is AT HOME against the Boston Celtics (October 23rd). We waste no time in getting to boo the shit out of Enes Kanter and every other Celtic for that matter.

  • The Sixers host the Bucks on Christmas Day at 2:30pm. We knew we’d get a Christmas Game, what I didn’t know is that this is the first Sixers home game on Christmas since 1988. Pretty fun being good at basketball.

  • There will be road trip spanning the entire first week of March (March 1-7) where the Sixers will play the LA Lakers, LA Clippers, and Golden State Warriors. This seems like one of those stretches where the fan base decides either we are winning the NBA Finals or the Process was a failure and we should blow it up and try again.

  • March 31st will be the only time the Rockets visit Philadelphia this season. So, we have over 7 months collectively as a fan base to physically and mentally prepare ourselves for booing Russell Westbrook. Also we should sign Corey Brewer to a 10-day contract that week so he can guard James Harden again.

  • The Jimmy Butler Retirement Tour rolls into Philly for the first time on November 23rd. It’ll be super cool to give Jimmy Butler a proper send off and see al the guys exchange jerseys. Congrats on retirement, Jimmy!

Now that baseball season is over, we can start to REALLY get amped for the upcoming football and basketball seasons. The Eagles are in training camp, the Sixers schedule has been released. We are so, so close people.
