The Cry Baby Sore Loser Award Goes To…

Is there such a thing of tampering in the NBA? Is tampering even something that needs to be discussed in the NBA? Well, according to the Boston Celtics, they believe the Sixers tampered with their ex-forward, Al Horford.

In a shocking report by ESPNs Brian Windhorst, the Celtics believe the Sixers contacted Al Horford before the NBA moratorium period started. Which, in their eyes, would be tampering.

“The Celtics were, from what I am told, one of the teams that kind of stomped their feet about what they felt was tampering,” Windhorst said. “Not with Kyrie, although that looked like it was lined up pretty far in advance. But with Horford. What happened with Horford – again, from what I am told – really upset the Celtics, that they were thinking they were going to be able to negotiate with him, talk to him about a new contract, and all of a sudden, it was like he already knew what his market was and was out of there.”

Now, yes, tampering in the NBA is the biggest joke in the world. But, how do you think calling out your biggest rivalry in the Eastern Conference for tampering will be received?

This sure will add some fuel to the fire of Boston vs Philly.

I wonder how the Charlotte Hornets feel about this inquiry with the Celtics signing Kemba Walker? Oddly, when beggars try to be choosers, it normally bites them in the place where the sun don’t shine. If my memory is correct, I remember news breaking about Kemba Walker signing with the Celtics well before the moratorium period started. Actually, I remember Walker being the first WojBomb when the moratorium opened.

This seems just to be a case of a jealous ex. Trying to hang onto the past, when clearly someone saw a better opportunity elsewhere. If Al Horford wanted to be a Celtic, he would have re-signed. If you believe the tampering was so key in his decision, why did he take less to come to the Sixers?

The sore loser award goes to the Boston Celtics.
