Kansas City Sports Talk Show Host Gives One Hell of an Apology for his Disturbing Andy Reid Comments

In the social media age, it’s really hard to hide quite anything. But, Kansas City sports radio host, Kevin Kietzman made some comments about Andy Reid that were so eye opening and tasteless that it would be hard at any time to miss them.

“Reid does not have a great record of fixing people. Discipline is not his thing. It did not work out particularly well in his family life. That needs to be added to this. As we’re talking about this with the Chiefs. He’s had a lot of things go bad on him. Family and players. He is not good at fixing people. He is not good at discipline. That’s not his strength. His strength is designing football plays.”

I’m envisioning his producer losing his shit behind the glass, waving his arms to make this guy shut up as quick as he could.
Well, this went viral, of course. And once Kietzman realized he was getting lit up on social media, took to Twitter with an apology. Sort of.

It’s really hard to follow this thread as an apology. Following this is like the gif of Alan from The Hangover playing Blackjack. I do not know where Kietzman is going with this.
We heard him in the sound bite mentioning Andy Reid, and then saying his family issues NEED to be brought into this. He may not have said hey Andy’s son died of an overdose, this means he’s bad with discipline. But he CLEARLY insinuated that.
Everyone’s gotta be hot take Guy these days. It’s not about being truthful or accurate anymore. It’s all about saying the most outrageous thing possible to gain attention. But, that strategy completely backfired this time around.
I’m sure it is a rough day on 810 WHB in Kansas City today.
