It’s Moment of Truth Time For Odubel Herrera

And look, by the time I remembered, it already got pushed to the back of our brains again!

#NEW: Philadelphia Phillies player Odubel Herrera was set to appear in court today on domestic violence charges. His initial arraignment at Atlantic City Municipal Court has been waived by his attorney today. Herrera’s next court appearance will be scheduled by the court.

Odubel was placed on administrative leave, which was extended until June 17th. Which I recently realized was TODAY. Assuming his court date has been rescheduled, I believe his administrative leave will be extended once again.

I love that everyone is handling this the way that I handled projects in school.

For the Phillies, the outfield is a barren wasteland. First the Odubel saga, Cutch is done for the year, Adam Haseley played for three days, and now Jay Bruce has a hammy issue. I’m not panicking about the Phils and losing 2 out of 3 to the Braves, this team just needs to get healthy.

For Odubel, seems like we’re delaying the inevitable. Not sure the Phillies will be able to release him but if he’s found guilty, that suspension will be HEFTY. Doubt we ever see this guy again.
