Seranthony Dominguez Has Possible UCL Damage In Elbow

What I’ve grown to accept with the Phillies is just to assume the worst. When it comes to injuries, it is going to going to be the worst case scenario.

It appears as though we have another prime example of this as Seranthony seeks a second opinion on his damaged elbow with possible Tommy John surgery looming. At first, the Phils thought it was a strain. Now it’s UCL damage.
When Andrew McCutchen got hurt, it was hopefully just a knee sprain and Cutch himself wasn’t concerned, and then it turned out his ACL was torn.
This season continues to be horrendous for injuries to the bullpen, for the Phillies and just all of Philadelphia sports in general. This is flat out getting ridiculous. With The Fireman is where I draw the line. It started with Tommy Hunter back in Spring Training (haven’t seen him since). Enjoyed David Robertson for a few weeks until he was popped on the 60 Day IL. Pat Neshek had the worst week in bullpen pitcher history which ended in injury. Adam Morgan was finally pitching well until of course he got sent to the IL too. Now we reach a possible season ended for Seranthony.
I remember that Eagles vs Saints regular season match-up so vividly because of how depleted our team was. It was hard to be mad when you felt that hopeless. Who the fuck were Devante Bausby and Cre’Von LeBlanc and how did we reach a point we were so injured?
That’s the point we will be reaching with a bunch of AAAA bullpen pitchers entering the game in late inning situations for the Phillies. Who the fuck are these guys and how did we get here?
Now is the time for the starting pitchers to step their game up 6 Million notches. The pressure is on. For the most part in the first two months of the season, the starters have not been reliable enough and don’t make it deep it enough in outings. This 4.2 inning charade has put a strain on the bullpen with both health and production. One of the reasons for the collapse last year was that the bullpen got gassed from too many innings pitched. We are well on our way to that if the Phillies don’t get more constituency from the starters.
