Game, Blouses: The 2019 MLB Season is a Wrap

This MLB season will go down in history as the shortest of all time.

The 2019 season has lasted exactly one day and the Phillies finished with a perfect record and have been crowned World Series champions.

What a ride it was, my friends.

The ups of a McCutchen leadoff home run, Maikel with a three-run dinger, and a Rhys Hoskins salami.

The downs when Aaron Nola walked a few guys and Hector Neris gave up a homerun.

It was truly a season to remember.

Let’s talk about how Aaron Nola had an “off” day and still went six innings with eight K’s and one run. Give me that “off” day 162 times. But you won’t have to because the season is actually over already, remember?

It’s laugh out loud funny that everybody knew how this Phillies lineup was going to work and the Braves just let it happen. McCutchen sets the table, Segura moves him over, walk Harper, and Rhys goes yaya. I could have written that a week ago with no hesitation and no one would have argued with me.

That’s your boy Gabe Kapler manufacturing dominance on the diamond.

And look at the bottom of the order. Me oh my that’s terrifying for a pitcher to deal with the top five then still have Odubel, Cesar, and Maiky.

This lineup is the movie Deep Impact. The top five is the asteroid hitting Earth and everyone’s like “oh no that was destructive!” That’s actually a line from the movie. Then the bottom of the order is the tidal wave it causes that absolutely MURKS that chick and her dad.

I think my favorite part of this season has been how we saw that this team didn’t even need Bryce Harper and it was just mean of the Phillies to add him making the lineup even more scary. Just an absolute bully move by Middleton there.

It was great to see how many people came out to CBP this season to support out Phightins. Haven’t seen that in a very long time.

See everyone next season!
