Imagine Losing Bryce Harper and Getting Case Keenum Instead

Now seeing as the Antonio Brown to the Bills trade is (unfortunately) a farce, the biggest move in the NFL yesterday was…Case Keenum to the Skins!

Let me be the first to welcome him to the NFC East!

Part of me feels bad for the Redskins and part of me equates them to the Minnesota Vikings except somehow even less successful. The only reason I feel a sliver of sympathy is because no one deserves to go out like Alex Smith with that harrowing leg injury. Aside from that, it’s franchise with a racist name and a shit field, not to mention a division rival…and that’s where my sympathy dies.
It’s been quite the week or so in DC. You lose Bryce Harper to an NL East rival. So, you can’t even forget about losing out on many years of Harper’s prime because you’re going to play him approximately 687 times over the course of a season. He’s already talking about recruiting Mike Trout to form a super team but hey, at least you got Patrick Corbin! At the very least, you can head down to Nationals Park and unleash the rage and angst you feel towards Harper for abandoning you, but you can’t because CBP South will be back. You will just sit there drowned out by Phillies fans as You wallow in self-pity.
And then of course you have Keenum. What’s understood ain’t gotta be explained. Fans around the league have seen enough to know what he is and it’s not going to make the R- words a Super Bowl contender.

Part of what boosts the Patriots dynasty is the fact the AFC East is putrid year in and year out. For the foreseeable future, the Eagles have to go through Dak Prescott, Eli Manning and now Keenum to make the playoffs. I’ll take my chances.

What a sad, sad time it is for the fake fan, transplant city that is Washington D.C.
