Bryce Harper Did The Most Philadelphian Thing Possible Already

Breath in… Hold it… Let it out…




Over the past 116 days, the city of Philadelphia has been engaged in the wildest roller-coaster ride ever. Through the ups and downs, Philadelphia wanted a superstar. That superstar was Bryce Harper. Now, that superstar is BRYCE HARPER.

 

Bryce Harper secured the bag in the form of a record breaking deal in the MLB. Harper and the Phillies came to terms on a 13-year $330 million dollar deal yesterday afternoon.

But, is Philadelphia done?

 

Yes, the Phillies are more than likely done until another high-profile mega star hits the market in 2021. But, is the city of Philadelphia done?




A guy by the name of “imvar” on instagram made a post congratulating Bryce Harper on signing in Philadelphia. With an extra addition saying, “Letsss Gooooooo, Your Turn LeVeon Bell”.

 

Ok, so no big deal. Just another fan trying to start the conversation. WRONG. According to his instagram page, his isn’t a fan. He is supposedly the Creative Art Director & Graphic Designer for LEVEON BELL.

 

Yeah, yeah. Anyone can put that on there. Just a troll. WRONG AGAIN. If you look down this posts, he has pictures with Bell in the Steelers locker room and multiple pictures inside of Hentz’s Field in Pittsburgh.

 

But, it gets even better.




LeVeon Bell follows him and thats the reason why this has gotten to this point. “Imvar” made that post and tagged both LeVeon Bell and new Phillie Bryce Harper in it. This lead to Harper to doing the most Philadelphian ever and start the recruitment process to convince Bell to come to the Eagles.

 

That post got Bryce’s attention and this lead Harper to message Bell this…

 

“Aye come join! Let’s take this city by storm. Bring as many titles as we can to the greatest city in the world. Brotherly Love. #SecureTheBag “

 






The screenshot that WIP’s own John Barchard posted was from LeVeon Bell himself. Bell posted that on his instagram after he received that message from Harper.

 

Now, LeVeon Bell has known to troll before. But, this isn’t the first time in recent days of Bell getting the Philadelphia faithful excited about the possibility. Last week, Bell commented on a twitter post and this got the attention of some current Eagles to shoot their shot in recruiting Bell.

 

In the end, if Bell signs with the Eagles or not, Bryce Harper is already doing his best to bring other high profile free agents to Philadelphia. Also, Harper saying “bring as many titles as we can to the greatest city in the world” is just the cherry on top.

 

Harper already knows how great Philadelphia truly is.
