I’m 100% Back in on Harper Rumors

I know I said we were boycotting rumors but I’m back in a big way folks. Manny went to San Diego (stay classy), the Phillies are playing the Rays in Florida (’08 revenge game?), and I’m going to Clearwater next weekend so it FEELS like something is on the verge of maybe possibly happening.

You can keep your coffee because I’m already WOKE.

(This is us ((me)) so go follow)

So, I’ll give you my full report on this. The Show, who’ll be breaking news of Harper’s signing as reported by me :), keeps tweeting, retweeting, and faving these gameplay teasers and trailers or whatever you want to call them.

That one popped up on my timeline and, as the super sleuth I am, I noticed that the teams playing are the Padres, the home of huge free agent number one, and the Phillies, the home of huge free agent number two (????).

And then there’s this too…

The guy who posted it is a Giants fan… who are also supposedly in the running for Harper so has no reason the like the two teams competing against them for the All-Star. Plus what psychopath doesn’t play as their own team???

Moral of this little story is I think The Show is sponsoring these tweets, which is fine because that’s how you do promo in 2019, and they told ol’ cuzzie here to play as Philly and San Diego so dumb idiots like me would give them more attention byt typing articles like this. Also they could know where he’s going…

I’m just sayin…

If video games don’t tickle your fancy, how about some real life shit:

That’s what I like, that’s what we like.

All of these national reporters saying there might be interest here there might be interest there, that’s all smoke and mirrors. I am so sick of it. This is what we as Philadelphians need, boots on the ground getting shit done. Not only do I trust Sailisbury the most, I also trust Middleton to be a go-getter. He’s the type of rich where at some point of not getting your way for awhile, he just says “fuck it” and does whatever to make it happen.

This plane ride to Vegas is the baseball equivalent to the Bosh/Wade dinner that led Lebron to Miami.

We. Are. So. Close.
