The Manny Domino Fell and Bryce is Next

Manny is off the table. Boo hoo.

I’m not trying to say I didn’t want him because I did…a lot…but he clearly was in it for the money and apparently the Padres made the best offer. I guess losing in warm California is better than losing in Baltimore.

I’m a little woke to this deal though because it’s the exact deal Bryce turned down and the Padres front office is apparently saying nothing is done. This could mean nothing but what if this was all smoke and mirrors. It’s definitely probably not though.

Now what you came here for…why do we, as Phillies fans, give a shit about this. It’s because the first domino has fallen. This opens the door for Scotty Boras to top the deal and get Bryce the bigger-than-Stanton money that he wants.

It’s hilarious to watch old white guys get mad about this too. Cuzzie’s just doing his job and doing it well and Bryce is getting PAID. No skin off my nose if that’s for 10 years and $350 million.

Oh…by the way…a little nugget for those sticking around and reading this much…I’m hearing that Boras is flying out Tuesday night or Wednesday morning to make the deal official Wednesday afternoon. I knowwwwww I said we were boycotting Harper rumors but come onnnnnn!!!! I heard this and had to share. So don’t be surprised if he signs tomorrow afternoon for 10 years and $350 mil. If he doesn’t then call me Heyman. I don’t care.
