We’re Boycotting Bryce Harper Rumors Until He Signs

I can’t do it anymore people. The mind games have gone on long enough. In an offseason that started so optimistically with Jean Segura and Andrew McCutchen, I cannot handle the anticipation. On top of the anxiety I already had always waiting for Harper to sign, we have to deal with the emotions for Doc Halladay being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

 

I’m ready for baseball to come back but, more importantly, I’m ready for the free agent circus to end. We’ve seen the teasers from The Show, we’ve seen the “phanatic” link, we’ve seen it all. In the last two days, we’ve also had a rumor that an offer has been made and we’re waiting for Middleton to sign off on it

I personally refuse to believe this is 100% true but that’s just me. I’ll believe something when its official and I don’t have to stress myself out with speculation. But honestly that’s what it’s come to. There has been so much fanfare with this off season around Harper and Machado that I’m just checking out until anything official happens.

 

And then, minutes ago, this happened…

 

 

Are you kidding me???? I want to write this off as another annoying tease that’ll end up just being an ad for some new hat they’re selling that Bryce will model. I want to do that so bad. But I just can’t. It’s too emotionall…

 

JESUS, YOU’RE GETTING A LIVE REACTION TO THIS BULLSHIT TWEET THAT JUST HAPPENED

 

 

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. (This actually was a completely live reaction I have notifications turned on for their tweets) I’m done, folks. This charade is so insane and I genuinely believe this may be the most overblown, dramatic free agency in sports history. The two agents can deal with their dick swinging contest on their own, but as for me, and I’m hoping all of you smart readers, I’m out and you’ll catch me writing/podcasting about an official signing and nothing else.

 

This is a boycott of all things Harper/Machado until pens are on papers.

P.S. Also don’t forget that if Harper signs before January, as discussed on the podcast, I’ll be growing my hair out like his so root for or against that. Up to you.
