You Love to See Temple Win On a Good Ol’ Charge
We are at the point of the year where college basketball is in full swing, but no one cares yet. We are on the verge of caring, but we won’t until early February (when football ends). So, if you as a college basketball team want to still be relevant by the time we start caring as fans, you better start winning games now.
My oh my did Temple do just that.

A win on a good, hard, clean CHARGE. And by a big man no less! I can’t say I have seen a game end like this before, but I will take it.
Since Mexico does not seem to be paying for this wall, I guess the Art of the Deal is dead. It’s fantastic to see a revival of the Art of the Charge in its place. Kids these days and their 360 dunks and their 40 inch verticals (Zion, I’m talking about Zion). Give me the charge instead. Give me the kid taking one for his squad with the game on the line against an undefeated team. If you loved Chase Utley leaning his elbow in to get hit by a pitch and get on base, you are now obligated to root for this Temple team.
Also give Kelvin Sampson collapsing to the floor when this happened. It’s as if the lungs were snatched right out of his body on the way down. I can’t believe he collapsed like that in a middling conference game in January. Not when his team missed a billion free throws and lost on a buzzer beater to Michigan in March Madness:
Speaking of March Madness, will Temple have a football coach by then?
