The Eagles Have Already Caught a HUGE Break For Sunday’s Game Against the Saints

I’m starting to finally come down from the monumental win in Chicago yesterday. Although, the reaction of the Bears mascot pretty much dying on the double doink will never get old. But, since I’m coming down I’m starting to focus on any edge the Eagles can get against the Saints this Sunday. Here’s the first edge for the Birds, at least in my brain:

I think I speak for the entire fan base when I say thank goodness Troy Aikman didn’t get assigned to our game. I mean, there was no way they weren’t going to have the ex-Cowboy call a Cowboys playoff game. But, still, what a relief.

The Eagles are 1-3 on the year when Joe Buck and Aikman call the game, including the 48-7 shellacking last time we were in New Orleans. On top of that, he annoys the hell out of me. The last time we were in New Orleans, Aikman spent the majority of the game trashing Carson Wentz and essentially proclaiming him a one-hit wonder. I’m paraphrasing, but he stated that Wentz was completing 70% of his passes ONLY because his receivers were making spectacular catches. Get him the hell out of here.

I am a big believer in rooting effort having an effect on the game (I’m joking but not really). Aikman calling the game would’ve thrown my rooting efforts all out of whack. That’s a win for viewing pleasure at the very least.
