Every Important Game Is At 4:25ET Next Week
According to the graphics department on Sunday Night Football, if you’re game is even remotely important next week, it’s at 4:25ET.
I love this, I also hate this.
Love, because we are STILL playing meaningful football. It’s cool that our game got flexed this way. We’ve spent so many weeks living on the edge, if we DO make the playoffs, my nerves will be battle tested. I’ve seen so many emotionally numbing plays so far this year, my heart is pretty much permanently experiencing palpitations. Another week of playoff caliber football. You have to be loving this ride right now.
Hate because I know I will be sweating through my ski mask during the 1pm games. I will feel the anxiety of scoreboard watching dripping out of me. I will envision every possible outcome in that Bears vs Vikings matchup. I will talk myself into a Super Bowl run and/or losing to the Redskins by the halftime of whatever bland, meaningless 1pm game they throw on Fox.
Tis the season of multiple screens. Birds on the big screen. Bears on the laptop. Stomach in my throat.
