This Is How Bryce Harper Will Announce His Free Agency Decision

So, I’ve been playing a little Detective Pikachu and I think I’ve discovered how Bryce Harper will announce his decision.

On November 2nd, Harper tweeted out the debut of him on the cover of MLB The Show 19 and he is not wearing any team’s jersey. Just a hoodie.

This was a business move.

His agent is Scott Boras, a human shark and will get his clients money wherever there is money to be had. And there is a Brinks truck to be backed up with this opportunity.

MY OFFICIAL TAKE: HARPER WILL ANNOUNCE HIS FREE AGENCY DECISION VIA AN MLB THE SHOW COVER UNVEILING AND HE WILL BE WEARING A PHILLIES JERSEY.

MLB The Show would have paid Harper for the rights to the announcement since it will garner huge exposure for their game. This is like if Lebron made his decision to go to Miami via the 2K cover. In the words of Michael Scott, this is a win, win, win. Win for MLB The Show because of the aforementioned awesome exposure for the game. Win for Harper because he announces his free agency decision in a very unique way, which will give him both on the field and off the field buzz. Win for Scott Boras because, well, money.

You heard it here first. You know HOW the decision will be made. Now, we just have to figure out the WHEN. Unfortunately, the game is not released until March, so it’s really up in the air when the true cover could be announced.

And if you’ve been following along with the Harper watch, there is a rumor that a handshake under the table agreement has been made with a team. My take supports this rumor since they would have to wait until they decide to make the reveal.

Follow, retweet, tell your friends, and turn on notifications for @IsBryceAPhillie and we will let you know the second that the answer to that question is yes!
