It’s A Real Shame Teams Seem To Be Bowing Out of the Harper Sweepstakes, A Real Shame
Every day, we get closer and closer to God’s light.

Here’s what Bryce brings to the table if any of you left are skeptics as to whether or not Bryce would be a valuable asset to the Phillies. The Phillies had a BIG time poopy offense last year. This is according to all the experts… and numbers… and the record… and myself.
We have some great offensive tools however in Rhys Hoskins and Odubel Herrera, assuming he doesn’t repeat that fluke bad year. Rhys gets on base 35.4% of the time (good) and if we ever see the real Odubel again he hits doubles on doubles. That’s kind of his thing…it’s in his name a little. NOW! Imagine those two bat 2 and 3 in a lineup with Bryce batting 4th. Here comes a guy with runners on second and third who just had a “down year” with a .889 OPS. He had a 135 wRC+ and hit 34 bombs, 100 RBIs, and gets walked all the fucking time. The Phillies would score all the runs!!!!
His presence would take pressure off others in the lineup, which may have caused the team to slip late last year. Everyone would get better from him being here. And scoring runs was this team’s second biggest issue next to abysmal defense. So, having a guy that would yield extra men on base and extra runs is going to make the Phillies a scary team for the rest of the league, especially those teams that seem to be out of the contention for him. What a bummer it must be to not be able to get this fella.
