The Flyers Season Hasn’t Started Quite Yet, But They Already Are Winning, Thanks To Gritty

Today is the day. Today, after a long 5-month layoff, Flyers hockey is back. Puck drop on the Flyers season isn’t till 10:15 local time tonight. However, thanks to the Flyers new mascot, Gritty, they are already winning.




Gritty has taken the world by storm since his introduction. After being received in probably the worst possible way, Gritty has grown on the Philadelphia faithful.

 

After being introduced, Gritty had a night to forget during his first Flyers game. Whether it was falling on his back or the countless booos, that didn’t stop Gritty from winning the Philadelphia fans hearts.

 

But, like all new things, Gritty has also caused some tension in the hockey mascot world. Since his introduction, Gritty has been on every major news outlet, been on late-night talk shows, and has even did Barstool’s Pizza Review.




All this fame and fortune has caused some tension with the league other mascots. LA Kings mascot, Bailey, has been the one most jealous.

 






This led the Golden Knights mascot, Chance, to respond in a friendly but shady way…

 






Then, possibly the worlds new greatest mascot, Gritty, decided to end the bout and establish his already present dominance…

If you still don’t like Gritty after this, I don’t know what else they can do to get Philadelphians to like him. It is such a feel good story, the original person mad at him is already making plans with Gritty for the NHL All-Star Game…
