After Markelle Fultz’ First Two Preseason Games, It’s Confirmed That Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell Are the 2nd and 3rd Best Players in Their Class
Well, after two preseason games, I think there are two questions that need to be asked:
- Who’s the third best rookie in the 2017 NBA Draft Class: Jayson Tatum or Donovan Mitchell?
- Do you think the Sixers will sweep the Warriors in the NBA Finals or will they need 5 games?

Markelle Fultz’ performance to begin the preseason almost, ALMOST makes up for Corey Graham just completely forgetting where he was on 4th & 15. Watching Markelle Fultz not only play, but succeed and step into jumpers is what being a proud parent must be like. I’m like that Mom who has “My Son Is An Honor Student” bumper sticker on her Honda CR-V except mine would say, “I Always Knew Markelle Fultz Was Good at Basketball”.
He’s healthy, he’s confident and boy oh boy does a lineup that consists of JJ Redick as a sixth man have some firepower. Additionally, I’m all in on Landry Shamet as another bench piece. Since the AAC being #Power6 is a huge portion of my brand, I’m pretty much obliged to root for him. But two meaningless games in, he looks like a solid horse in the race to bet on.
I thought last year watching Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid show out was fun but having the third musketeer in Fultz out there just warms my heart. The way Fultz is playing, Drew Hanlen is lucky I’m not giving him the same treatment:
