The Eagles Are Planning an “All Out” Celebration For the Ages on Thursday
“I don’t think this has been talked about enough. They’re going like all out with this thing. Everyone we’ve talked to right?…That’s the big scoop. There is going to be a MULTITUDE of surprises.” – John Barchard, Go Birds Pod
The rumors are swirling that the Eagles are planning something massive for the fans on Thursday. Obviously, the banner will be raised, there will be a nice tribute to the Super Bowl winning team but I have a feeling this is going to be on another level. I am talking surprises, big surprises. Who knows what can happen that hour leading up to kick off. My predictions:
- An awesome tribute for Brian Dawkins getting inducted into the Hall of Fame. There is no doubt he will scream “Hallelujah” so many times that I will feel I never need to go to church again.
- Meek Mill is 130% going to perform “Dreams and Nightmares.” This the lock of the century. I cannot wait to hear the sweet sound of 65,000 people singing “if you ain’t about that murder life…” It is going to be tear jerking beautiful.
- Dave Spadaro trying to MC the entire thing and failing miserably. I don’t know why but there is something about that guy that just screams he swims with a shirt on.
- After the kickoff and the Eagles take the field there will be a pause. The crowd will rise, and everybody will watch as Carson Wentz majestically runs out onto the field. Tears will be shed, flowers will bloom again, there will be world peace as the crowd will be in a deafening roar that will cause power outages all the way to Lancaster (like the Amish even need it).
- Bud Light will have a “Philly Philly” fly over and drop Care Packages of beer like you just used your 5 kill streak perk in Call of Duty.
I’m excited for Thursday and all that it has in store. And oh ya, the Eagles are gonna play too.
