Let’s consider this about the unstoppable New Orleans Saints. While I do consider the Vikings Divisional Round Win somewhat of a fluke, it was the second time that season that they had defeated the Saints. New Orleans got the chance to run it back… and still lost. The following week, there are not enough humiliating words to describe what we did to that same Vikings. But, it doesn’t stop there for the unstoppable Saints. They also lost to the Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons during the regular season. Two teams the Eagles also defeated. So the Saints, who “nobody was gonna stop”, got stopped by pretty much everyone in the NFC Playoffs.
I get that an athlete would never say they would lose a game and they’d never admit if a team was better. Even so, I think Kamara could’ve settled with, “we would’ve been a better matchup than the Vikings for the Eagles” than “we would’ve beat the shit out of them”, seeing as we smoked the team that ended your season. Jeez, you make one cameo in a Drake music video and you start talking real wild:
I’ll be honest, I wanted no smoke with the Saints, I wanted the Vikings. Blood was in the water. But, being in the Linc during that NFC Championship, there wasn’t a team alive that stood a chance that night.
