Philadelphia Is Set To Lose Out On Kawhi Leonard and Manny Machado In the Same Day, At Least the Eagles Are Still Super Bowl Champions
First, there’s sour:
Can report with more certainty: Machado to #Dodgers happening. Among remaining questions, in addition to specifics of return beyond OF Yusniel Diaz: How much money, if any, #Orioles will send #Dodgers to secure a better package and help ease LAD’s luxury-tax concerns.

Then, there’s sweet more sour:
Toronto is close to a deal to acquire Spurs All-Star Kawhi Leonard, league sources tell @ChrisBHaynes and me. Trade package includes DeMar DeRozan, league sources tell ESPN.

Good for the Raptors to have pulled this off. I thought they were going to have to blow their whole team up and go into a rebuild. Now, Lebron is in the West and they add Leonard, who could make them the best team in the East again. I am very excited for the first time Kawhi awkwardly walks off the court to Drake clapping in his face like a proud drunk uncle.
To be honest, I am not THAT mad Kawhi is getting dealt to the Raptors. I am about one more Trump/Putin joint press conference away from getting traded to Toronto too.
Still, coveting Machado and Leonard all summer long and then losing out on them in the same day is very Philly sports. Time to watch the Eagles Championship Parade for the 28th time…
