Are The Phillies Serious?!? Vol. 1: Bullpen BARELY Didn’t Blow It
Before I get my engine going, I’ll quickly explain what you’re about to experience. I’m going to start doing this as sort of a “column” whenever I have to rant about the stupid shit our beloved teams do. Please feel free to comment with your emotions as well because it’s important we let it all out before we have a city-wide heart attack. So…..
ARE THE PHILLIES SERIOUS?!? That game was a JOKE. Don’t let the score fool you…The Phillies did not have that game one bit.
It took 4 RBI from Scott Kingery, three off a dinger, to give us the W.
They were out hit 11-4 and when it comes to runners in scoring position, we were outnumbered 17-5. The bats have to wake up some time SOON because I’ve had it with the relying-on-the-lucky-longball bullshit.
Games can’t keep being given to the pitchers because, as we saw tonight, most of our relievers are garbagé. God forbid a starter have a bad day and have to rely on the bullpen. Kap and crew can’t expect a 6.2 inning, 1 run, 10 K performance from every starter every night because that’s the only reason they didn’t lose this game.
But is LUIS GARCIA SERIOUS?!? Giving up 4 singles in a row in the top of the 9th is absolutely unacceptable.

This anger isn’t new for me and I imagine it isn’t new for you. It’s the same story every day for WEEKS. The situational hitting is nonexistent and the relievers are pitching like my 9U rec team.
Nola and Seranthony were the only bright spots tonight for me on the bump. At the dish, Scotty struck gold and Rhys seems to have his vision back (two walks). And lastly, at least they didn’t fuck up a shift today I guess.
Expect a lot more of these blogs if the Phils don’t start using their heads real soon because I’m this Donald Duck gif whenever I watch this team lately.
