Ben Simmons Is Dating a Kardashian and Bryan Colangelo Is Tweeting From Burner Accounts…What the Hell Is Going On?!

So, Drake and Pusha T are trading blows, Ben Simmons somehow fell into the Kardashian curse, and the Sixers GM has been secretly insulting the players he employs on Twitter. Just another Tuesday night on the internet?

Dating someone with Kardashian blood has got to be the dumbest thing you can do as an athlete, but somehow it isn’t dumbest thing a member of the Sixers has been apart of today. According to multiple rumors, Ben Simmons is now dating Kendall Jenner.

Last week, there was a report that Simmons broke up with his girlfriend Tinashe because she was doing “Kardashian shit”. Now that those two have broken up, Simmons is now dating a…nevermind. Look, we’re not trying to be a gossip blog here but the Sixers, and Simmons especially, are on the cusp on something truly exceptional. We do not have time to bring the Kardashian curse around a team that has not been in exactly fortuitous situations lately.

There’s bringing an imaginary curse and reality show drama around a team, and then there’s being the President of Basketball Operations for a basketball team and having burner Twitter accounts to criticize your own players. Yet, here we are with Bryan Colangelo. If you haven’t read this story from Ben Detrick of The Ringer, stop what you’re doing (even if you’re reading my article) and check it out. It is not only one the most bizarre stories to ever hit Philadelphia, but just sports in general:

This story is as odd as it is disturbing. What kind of ego maniac (aside from Kevin Durant) makes burner Twitter accounts to defend his own shirt collars. On top of that, how could you ever let this happen where you criticize your own players and get caught? This kind of stuff is just sickening:

We are a month away from sitting in free agent meeting with guys like Paul George and Lebron James and Colangelo has to sit there and say, “I criticized the stars of this team but I would very much like for you to become a star for this team”. One hell of a pitch this guy can give now.

Thank God we have our Cameroon treasure, Joel Embiid:

WHAT.A.NIGHT.
