Here’s the BIGGEST Takeaway From Quarterback Drills on the First Day of Eagles OTAs

Look, I love the path the Phillies are on right now. It is only May, but the Phils are already playing meaningful baseball with the division lead on the line against the Braves. But let’s be honest, I am way more pumped up about low quality Periscope videos of Eagles practice drills than I am about baseball. Today was the first today of OTAs for the World Champion Philadelphia Eagles and the whole gang was back together (except Mychal Kendricks). Here’s a video of the quarterbacks getting the ball out of their hands quickly. Let’s see if you had the same big takeaway that I did:

Yeah I know…I thought the same thing, Joe Callahan is SO SMALL. No matter how many times I watch the videos of the quarterback drills, I can’t help but think Callahan looks like if Pablo Sanchez pursued a football career after his Backyard Sports days. Now, the rest of the quarterbacks are pretty tall guys, even as quarterbacks go. Both Carson Wentz and Nate Sudfeld are 6’5 and Nick Foles is even taller at 6’6. But wow, is Joe Callahan like 5’5? Every bad television show or movie has that scene where a character who’s just a regular guy, gets tossed into the mix with the big bad jocks who play sports. Joe Callahan is the guy that got tossed in. Maybe it’s just the ugly sleeves option that we are rocking now but Callahan looks like the JV quarterback who got bumped up to Varsity after JV ended but Varsity was still in playoffs.

Oh, and Carson Wentz is already looking like he will be ready for Week 1:

Yeah, Carson’s not the only thing that’s moving.
