Here Are Some BIG Names the Eagles Could Draft on Day 2!

Our much anticipated gloating directed towards the Dallas crowd on the NFL Draft stage had to wait a day as the Eagles traded back from pick 32, to 52. Here are some names you could see David Akers (still upset about this) call on Day 2!

Look, last year I was so bummed when we took Derek Barnett over Reuben Foster. Depending on his court case, Foster may never play again. A few years ago, I did all my homework on 2nd round talent. All of my YouTube research told me that we should pick Eric Rowe. When we did take Rowe, I was ecstatic. How often does it work out where the team actually takes the guy you want?! Fast forward a few years and Eric Rowe getting the start over Malcolm Butler in the Super Bowl was one of the huge keys to our victory.

The draft is a crapshoot, San Hinkie was the one to admit it. Sometimes you get Jason Kelce in the 6th round and he becomes a folk hero in your city. Sometimes, you draft Jaiquawn Jarrett in the 2nd round.

If I had to choose a guy we should be salivating over as “the next best thing” at pick 52, based off my college football fandom, let’s go with Nick Chubb or Mike Gesicki. I have not stats to back that up, I’m still on Super Bowl vacation.
