ESPN+ Again?!? Flyers vs Wild Preview

Yup, that’s right folks if you want to watch the Flyers take on the Minnesota Wild tonight unless you’re going to the game you’re gonna need a subscription to ESPN+. Look ESPN getting hockey back was something I was excited for at first but with basically all of their main hockey coverage being on ESPN+ it’s annoying. Aside from the once a week they put games on ESPN they still aren’t doing a great job covering the sport. I love college football just as much as the next person but there is no reason that Syracuse vs Virginia Tech needs to be on ESPN tonight. Even ESPN2 is showing Georgia St vs GA Southern….Really? We couldn’t even put the Flyers vs Wild on ESPN2 or another one of the NHL games going on tonight? It’s a little ridiculous at this point but it’s the way it is today so hopefully if you don’t have ESPN+ you can find a stream somewhere.

Lineups:

Flyers

Tippett-Couturier-Atkinson

Konecny-Laughton-Foerster

Farabee-Cates-Brink

Deslauriers-Poehling-Hathaway

York-Sanheim

Zamula-Walker

Seeler-Belpedio

Hart

Errson

No changes for the Flyers up front even after Tuesday nights tough loss in the dying seconds vs Vegas. Morgan Frost remains a healthy scratch. I’m tired of hearing about how he should be in the lineup over this guy and this guy hasn’t done anything yet and blah blah blah. Look Frost had a tough first two games and the team has been playing well up front, Torts isn’t going to change it just yet.

On the backend the biggest news of the day was Emil Andrae being sent to Lehigh Valley and Victor Mete and Louie Belpedio being called up. Andrae didn’t play bad while he was up here but they want him to get more minutes and he wasn’t going to be getting that at the NHL level. He will be back so lets not everyone freak out about this he’s young and still needs to work on things and the Phantoms are his best chance to do that right now.

Carter Hart will once again be between the pipes as he looks to continue his hot start to the season. It’ll be another tough game as he will have to stop the very dangerous Wild offense.

Wild

Kaprizov-Hartman-Zuccarello

Johansson-Eriksson Ek-Maroon

Foligno-Rossi-Lettieri

Khaira-Dewar-Duhaime

Brodin-Faber

Middleton-Addison

Mermis-Merrill

Gustavsson

Fleury

The Wild come in with the same record as the Flyers 3-2-1 and are coming off a 7-4 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night. Obviously Kaprizov is one of their most dangerous players but it has been Joel Eriksson Ek and Ryan Hartman leading the way goal scoring wise. The Flyers will once again have to play a tough defensive game to keep those guys in check and Carter Hart will have to continue his strong play.

The Flyers are 1-3-1 in their last five games against the Wild with their lone win coming last season in March. They will look to make it two in a row tonight.

Once again you’ll have to have a subscription to ESPN+ to watch this one or find an illegal stream.
