We’re Onto Miami: Preview of the Dolphins High Tempo Offense in Philly

Sunday was hard to watch. Turnovers, dropped passes, sacks. It was a torture chamber of a game by everyone on offense. Jalen took too many sacks and threw multiple interceptions, DeVonta Smith dropped a wide open pass, the running game couldn’t get going. At least the defense showed up a little bit but it wasn’t enough to overcome the slop fest on offense

You cannot win a game having Jalen drop back 45 times. He’s a good quarterback but anyone who throws that many passes, against a somewhat solid defense, is going to make mistakes in an already sloppy game. The Eagles bread and butter all year has been running the ball. In almost all of their wins they’ve had over 100 yards rushing. This week, a measly 80. The injuries also did not help, Reed Blankenship went down after a blindside hit, Lane Johnson went down with an ankle injury and a couple other players ended up on the injured list after Sunday.

If you need a bright spot, you could say the defense played well, despite being down Jalen Carter, Darius Slay, and a couple safeties. The defense brings me to the main subject of this blog, the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins are a machine this year. They lead the league in yards and points scored, Tyreek Hill is the fastest man on Earth, Jaylen Waddle is a WR1 disguised as a WR2. They’re good all around BUT they looked beatable against the Giants and Panthers. The G Men caused a couple turnovers and made it somewhat close in the middle stretch. The Panthers jumped out to an early 14-0 lead against the Fins.

Bryan Johnson needs to get his head out of his ass and call a good game. Jalen and the crew need to put a good game together and keep up with the explosiveness. I would love to see the defense have a huge game and limit Tua and company to atleast 14-21. This could end up being a shootout in the lights on Sunday NightFootball, let’s just hope our guys are still standing when the dust settles.

Gambling Corner Picks: Eagles/Dolphins O 51.5 Raiders -1.5 vs Bears, Packers -1.5 vs Broncos.
