Do The Right Thing Comcast, Fire Chuck Fletcher

Last night the Flyers snapped their 10 game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the New York Islanders. It was probably one of the best games they have played all year. Not that it’s saying much but hey at least they ended the losing streak.

Another 10 game losing streak under the Chuck Fletcher reign. This marked the 5th 10+ game losing streak in his time here so far. HOW DOES HE STILL HAVE A JOB?!?!?

Yes, this team is riddled with injuries but that is a part of the game. Well managed organizations can usually still be competitive during hard times. The Philadelphia Flyers are not a well managed organization and that has been clear since Ed Snider passed away.

Every day that Fletcher is still in charge, is another day this organization gets further and further away from becoming relevant again. If this team is going to get back on the right track Fletcher needs to be gone.

You can not let this man get to another trade deadline. He has already set us back so far and it is only going to be made worse if he is the one making the deals at the deadline and even worse if he is still here come the off-season.

We have little organizational depth, we’re in cap hell, not much draft capital, and we suck. But we don’t suck enough to where we are in a position to get the first overall pick.  Why? Because our GM tried to re-tool instead of tearing it down and rebuilding like we need to.

He couldn’t get the job done in Minnesota and he hasn’t gotten the job done here. The guy is a bum and the ownership group needs to do right by the fans for once.

Does firing him fix everything right away? No, obviously it doesn’t but at least it will give us some sort of hope to the future that someone new will come in and have an actual plan to turn this organization around. Because Fletcher clearly has no clue what he is doing and any vision he may have had hasn’t worked.

My fear is that the team is going to start getting healthy and they will win enough games and Fletcher will still be in charge. If that happens then we are completely F**ked.

So please Comcast, I am begging you to do the right thing and send this no good, crum bum on his way so I can start enjoying the team I care about most again.
