Eagles Offense Has Become The Football Equivalent to Benny Hill Music

While the Patriots and Seahawks have two really solid defenses, and the Eagles have key players hurt…AGAIN… the Birds offense has become the football equivalent of Benny Hill music.

That’s pretty much the whole article there, but lets get into further details:

Overthrown passes

Botched handoffs

Dumb interceptions

Embarrassing fumbles

Bad sacks

And of course…DROPS

This latest circus was on full display in their latest game against Seattle. When playing Seattle most expect Russell Wilson to be the one who wins the game for them, but this game wasn’t won by the Seahawks, it was lost by the Eagle offense. Despite the defense forcing multiple turnovers, the Birds had FIVE of their own.

It could argued that this is the worst game for Carson Wentz has played all year, and the worst of his career besides the 48-7 disaster against the Saints last season. It will continue the back-and-forth battle between fans as to whether or not Carson is the problem or the depleted offense or the organization’s lack of big moves are the reasons for the teams struggles.

What makes this loss to the Seahawks even more infuriating is that the defense played so well. They sacked the leading MVP candidate Russell Wilson six times and forced two turnovers, with only a trick play and a long run by Chris Carson being the only blips of a great day. And the offense couldn’t capitalize on that at all. Botching a two-point conversion when they still a 0.0001% of winning the game was a fitting ending.

All in all, the Eagles just aren’t fun to watch anymore. They haven’t been too fun to watch with Carson under center for the past two regular seasons and we’re going to continue to worry about whether or not he’ll come close to his epic 2017 form.

These crucial two games against elite opponents at home were both disasters for the Eagles, setting up for what should at least be a bounce-back game in Miami…or is it???

If worst comes to worst, maybe we can finally have some fun in December at least with some 40 year old Josh McCown!
