DeSean Jackson Probably Done for the Year After Needing Surgery on an Injury He Suffered in Week Freaking 2

Some takeaways from this DeSean Debacle:
1) This feels very Kevin Durant-esque during the NBA playoffs last summer. Last season, after he had a lower calf strain, it seemed as though that muscle was a ticking time bomb. Just one quarter into his first game back, he tore his Achilles. He seemed healthy enough to play, but it just felt like that was the inevitable outcome. I have no scientific proof to back that up because I’m not a medical expert, but hey neither is the Eagles medical staff.
2) Speaking of the Eagles medical staff, they  once again prove to be the most incompetent group of people in the entire city, a city where the Philadelphia Parking Authority exists. He’s had this injury since Week 2 (another soft tissue injury mind you) and instead of getting the surgery then, they delayed it and opted for rehab. Now, halfway through the year, that didn’t work and Jackson is forced into surgery as the only solution. Instead of coming back around this time if he had the surgery back around Week 2, he’s having it now and he’s done for the year. Here’s a theory: the reason he brought in his own trainers to progress his rehab is because he didn’t trust this medical staff. God knows we sure don’t.
3) Josh Gordon was available literally 4 days ago. He could’ve been had for cheap. He could’ve come in and contributed immediately to a corps of receivers who have been lackluster to put it as nicely as possible. Whether DJax was coming back or not, the fact that Flash Gordon was out there and this front office didn’t prioritize him over Mack Hollins and/or JJ Arcega-Whiteside is mind blowing. Please pronounce Arcega with a C until that bum makes a damn catch.
