Dave Portnoy Hates Philly So Much He Roasts Himself Trying To Call Out Sixers Super Fan

Alan Horowitz has had Sixers season tickets for over 30 years. If you don’t know him already, it is impossible to not see him at Sixers games. Horowitz is known for his white towel and his enthusiastic behavior next to the Sixers bench. If you need a reference, this is Alan Horowitz…

At the moment, the Sixers are in the 2nd round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs. After defeating the Brooklyn Nets in 5-games, the Sixers advanced to face the Toronto Raptors. Games 1 & 2 were in Toronto.

Just like any super fan would, Horowitz traveled along with Sixers owner Michael Rubin to Toronto to watch games 1 & 2. However, Horowitz enthusiastic behavior at games 1 & 2 caught the attention of Barstool Sports owner and Boston super fan, Dave Portnoy.

Here is what Dave had to say…

Now, yes the sign may be a bit much. However, all Horowitz is doing is showing his love and admiration for his beloved Sixers. Just like any super fan would.

But, here is where Dave got it wrong. Calling out Alan Horowitz is ok. However, you have to live with what you have did previously in life too. Remember the saying, technology never forgets. Well, remember this from 2015…

Seems like Mr. Portnoy has had that same passion and admiration for something he likes too. But, wait. There’s more? Here is Portnoy again in 2015. This time with a more direct approach…

Now, I am not bagging on Dave. I like Dave and what he has done with Barstool Sports. Hell, I will admit, I am a Stoolie. But, I hate to say it Dave, if you have a problem with what Alan Horowitz did, then you defending Brady will be viewed the same way.

It is not the approach, it is the purpose. You and Horowitz both admire the two things you were defending. But, to call his stuff being “a**hole shit like that”, in the end you are calling the Brady Four a**hole shit like that.

You just hate to see it. Trying to roast someone else and in the end roasting yourself. Philly vs Boston will never die. Also, him taking the Sixers money-line had to hurt. But, just like any good gambler. Smart money is good money. Sixers in game 2 was a smart pick.
