Chase Utley, Dont You Dare Do What You Are About To Do

The most famous words from the 2008 World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies was by a fan favorite. A player was made his career in Philadelphia. A man, that might throw all that away if he does what he is rumored to be doing.

Chase Utley was drafted by the Phillies in 2000 with the 15th overall pick. From that point, Utley would rise all the way up the Phillies prospect rankings to the top. Then, on April 4th, 2003, Utley made his debut. In Utley’s first career start, Utley took an Aaron Cook pitch over the fence for his first career home-run and grand-slam.

It seemed like a match made in heaven. Someone who would be apart of Phillies history forever. A person that uttered the most famous words in the modern era for the Phillies…

“WORLD F**KING CHAMPIONS”

Utley wasn’t afraid to ever speak his mind. Well, that day the alcohol might have helped a little. However, Utley said those magical words and now whenever you think about the 2008 World Series team. Utley and his phrase, are the first thing you think of.

But, that can all change. If Utley does what he is rumored to be doing. Utley will be dead in Philadelphia. Utley will become public enemy # 1 in the city of Philadelphia.

According to Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports, Utley is in Las Vegas helping the most hated rival to Philadelphia, the Los Angeles Dodgers, spend their money and steal the prize of this free agency.

If Bryce Harper signs with the Dodgers, UTLEY YOU ARE DEAD IN THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA.

Are you willing to throw away the history you have with the team you made your name with just to bring someone to a team that can’t win with one of the most talented rosters in all of baseball?

THINK BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR NEXT MOVE CHASE.

Utley will still be apart of Phillies history. But, he could be helping the team he helped make and not the team that wouldn’t even play him. Jason Werth is on board and helping. Why cant you be like Jason, Chase?
